How can we help you?
In the course of working in Immigration and Asylum cases we make representations in respect of:
- The right to life
- The prohibition of torture and inhumane treatment
- The right to a fair trial and no punishment without law
- Respect for privacy and family life and the right to marry
With many years’ experience in dealing with the Home Office, Danielle is best placed to argue a Human Rights claim in the context of the Immigration Rules and policies.
What are Human Rights?
Human Rights are rights which belong to every person and Danielle Cohen Solicitors is an Immigration lawyer who helps to defend rights in the UK Courts and with the Home Office, because everyone must be treated equally and in accordance with the law. The Human Rights Act is an Act of Parliament that contains articles of the European Convention of Human Rights and it gives effect to these rights in UK Courts and in applications to the Home Office.
Danielle Cohen’s work is on the cutting edge of politics and immigration policy. She has protected her clients through the tenures of many Home Secretaries and will be a vanguard of human rights throughout the Brexit process. Please find our Brexit blog here:
It is particularly important to receive expert Immigration advice, because time and again the Upper Tribunal have rejected the Government’s contention that the new Immigration Rules define the extent of the United Kingdom’s Human Rights obligations. Our solicitors provide a genuine Human Rights assessment of each case individually, because the Immigration Rules cannot override the obligation of the United Kingdom to continue to apply and to continue to give a full Human Rights Assessment.
