ASYLUM

Danielle Cohen solicitors assist women in particular who claim asylum, asking the Home Office to recognise the particular issues which cause women to seek asylum and understand their particular needs as women.

In March 2004 the Home Office incorporated the Asylum Policy Instructions on gender issues in the Asylum Claim (Gender Guidelines). Danielle Cohen has been one of the solicitors who assisted in the drafting of the general guidelines together with the Refugee Women’s Legal Group.
